We got to meet a lovely bunch of dogs today at Petopia, an awesome doggy daycare centre that generously provides a temporary home for the dogs that are awaiting foster placement with Speaking of dogs rescue.

No sooner had we decided that we would begin fostering for Speaking of Dogs rescue than this little guy popped up on their website and we realized that what we in fact wanted was a second dog. We absolutely adore him and can’t believe how quickly and easily has fit into our home. Even Becca doesn’t hate him!
Becca, the seasoned pro, stays on her mark and watches disdainfully as the new kid rushes the camera.
Such an attentive pair of well trained dogs! (As long as Graham stands behind me with the bag of treats).
If any of you think that the life of a model is all parties and no hard work, Becca would like to bite you.

Learned a few things on my little photo shoot with Becca yesterday…most importantly, a couple of minutes with a lint roller can save a LOT of time in photoshop.
Becca was an excellent model, conveying deep emotions and concepts such as sadness, ennui, humiliation and regret with the subtlety of a seasoned pro.

I got to meet and photograph these three lovely dogs at Speaking of dogs rescue today. Please share, especially if you’re in the GTA, they are all looking for homes.
This cutie had a rough start in a puppy mill, but he is overcoming that and turning into a happy little fellow! Now all he needs is a foster (or forever) home where he can put all that behind him for good. He is available through http://speakingofdogs.blogspot.ca/

So, a wicked flu is kicking my ass, but I got more good news today! Another of my iPhone photos (“Boat Dreams on a Hill”) was accepted into a gallery show, “The Third Wave” in Berkeley, California and Bremen Germany! Hmmm…the other show my work was accepted into this week is at The 3rd space gallery, I’m thinking it may be time to go looking for a lottery ticket with a lot of 3′s!
